The application window for a Reception place is now closed.  Please contact Bexley Council if you have missed the deadline to apply.  Offers of a school place will be issued by Bexley Council on 16 April 2024.

September 2024 Nursery Intake:

Children born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021 are eligible to start Nursery in September 2024.

To apply for a Nursery place for your child, you will need to visit: http://www.eadmissions.org.uk.  The application window is now open and will close on 6 April 2024.  Further information on how to apply can be found on Bexley Council's website.   Bexley Council have also provided an online booklet for parents to read entitled Admission to Nursery Classes 2024/25.

If you are interested in your child attending Old Bexley, we are holding a series of Open Days for prospective parents.  We anticipate the Open Days will last approximately 30 minutes.  Places on each Open Day are limited and need to be booked in advance either by calling the school office on 01322 527981 or by emailing admin@oldbexley.bexley.sch.uk:

  • Wednesday 7 February @ 9.30am
  • Friday 23 February @ 9.30am
  • Wednesday 28 February @ 9.30am
  • Friday 8 March @ 9.30am

Access to the Nursery is via the black school gate, opposite Parkwood Road and the bus stop.  If you are bringing a buggy, please leave this outside the Nursery.

Please note that if you intend to drive to the Open Day, there are parking restrictions outside the school from 10-11am.

We look forward to welcoming you to Old Bexley.

Useful Information:

In our Prospectus you will find information on:

  • the organisation of the school day
  • the school's admission arrangements
  • development of the whole child through the wider curriculum

The school's Admissions Policy provides further details on how places are allocated and our over-subscription criteria.  The governors and school will give priority to Reception applicants whose family can demonstrate commitment to the Anglican faith by regular Church attendance.   In the event of an appeal, this Appeals Timetable will be followed.

If you are considering applying for a Nursery place, the Nursery fact sheet may also be helpful.

Admissions Consultation 2025/26

The Trust Board are currently consulting on changes to the school's Published Admission Number (PAN) for Reception to take effect from the start of the school year 2025/26.  The proposal is to reduce the PAN from 120 to 90 children.

The consultation closed at midday Wednesday 31 January 2024.  Please read the documents below for further information on the consultation.
